We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about what information we hold about you. Using personal information allows us to develop a better understanding of our patrons and in turn to provide you with relevant and timely information about the work that we do – both on and off stage. As a pending charity, it also helps us to engage with potential donors and supporters.
The purpose of this policy is to give you a clear explanation about how we collect and use the information we collect from you directly and from third parties.
We use your information in accordance with all applicable laws concerning the protection of personal information.

Information we collect:
If you sign up to the 53two or MAP mailing list, we will keep on file your email address and, if provided, phone number.
If you buy tickets for 53two or sign up to a MAP course, through our platforms on JOTFORM or on FATSOMA, we will store your email address and at times, phone number and postal address.
We use social media platforms to share messages about Coliseum events and news. Occasionally we may respond to comments and queries you make to us on these platforms. You may also see adverts from us on social media which are tailored to your interests. Depending on your settings or the privacy policies social media and messaging services like Facebook or Twitter, you might give third parties like53two or MAP, permission to access information from those accounts or services.
53two and MAP operate CCTV both inside and outside our building with the purpose of reducing the threat of crime generally, protecting our premises and helping to ensure the safety of all our staff, volunteers and visitors, consistent with respect for the individuals’ privacy.
We do not collect health information, race, religious beliefs and political opinions.
Why we collect it:
When you purchase a ticket from us or book on a course, you are entering into a contract with us. In order to perform this contract we need to process and store your data. For example we may need to contact you by email or telephone in the case of cancellation of a show/class, or in the case of problems with your payment.
How we contact you:
We aim to communicate with you about the work that we do in ways that you find relevant, timely and respectful. To do this we use data that we have stored about you. We will also use this data to contact you about upcoming shows or classes you may be interested in, based upon your previous interests and/or bookings. These communications are primarily through email using a marketing automation and an email marketing service. Individual emails may be sent to you if it concerns just youself or just several parties directly.
In the case of email, we will give an option to unsubscribe in every email sent from our marketing automation and an email marketing service. In the case of individual emails you may contact the box office.
As well as receiving general show and/or class information we send out under legitimate interest, you can sign up to our mailing lists. These are emails you will receive a maximum of once a month.
We only keep data for as long as is legally or practically necessary for our business. Once this necessity has past we have a regular process of updating our records so that we do not keep information indefinitely.

Third parties:
There are certain circumstances under which we may disclose your personal information to third parties. These are as follows:
To practitioners or those running classes when it is necessary for them to be able to provide you with products or services that you’ve requested.
To our own ticketing system who process data on our behalf and on our instructions. In these cases we require that these third parties comply strictly with our instructions and with data protection laws, for example around security of personal data.
Where we are under a duty to disclose your personal information in order to comply with any legal obligation (for example to government bodies and law enforcement agencies).
Your debit and credit card information:
Often you may use your credit/debit card to purchase tickets, classes or products at or through MAP or 53two. We do not store full card details and never store your 3 or 4 digit security code.
Your rights to your personal information:
You have a right to request a copy of the personal information that we hold about you and to have any inaccuracies in this data corrected. Please use the contact details at the end of this policy if you would like to exercise this right. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions about any aspect of this privacy policy, and in particular if you would like to object to any processing of your personal information that we carry out for our legitimate organisational interests.
