How to explore the world and collect resources?

Once you start a game, you will see an overview map of the world, which is divided into tiles. Each tile can contain different features, such as terrain, buildings, resources, allies, enemies, or neutral creatures. You can move your hero around the map by clicking on adjacent tiles or using the arrow keys. You can also zoom in or out by using the mouse wheel or the + and - keys. You can interact with various objects on the map by clicking on them or pressing the spacebar. For example, you can visit buildings to get bonuses or recruit units, collect resources to increase your income or buy things, talk to allies to get quests or rewards, or fight enemies or neutral creatures to gain experience or loot.

How to recruit and manage your army?

Your hero can have up to seven stacks of units in his or her army. Each stack can contain one type of unit from one faction. You can recruit units from buildings called dwellings, which are scattered around the map or located in your towns. You can also use caravans to transport units from one place to another without using your hero's movement points. To manage your army, you can open the army panel by clicking on your hero's portrait or pressing A. Here you can see the stats and abilities of your units, as well as rearrange them or split them into smaller stacks.

How to fight battles and use skills?

When you encounter an enemy or a neutral creature on the map, you will enter a battle screen where you will see a hexagonal grid representing the battlefield. Your units will be placed on one side of the grid, while your opponent's units will be on the other side. The battle is turn-based, meaning that each unit gets a chance to act once per round. The order of action is determined by the initiative stat of each unit. You can move your units by clicking on an adjacent hex or using the arrow keys. You can also attack an enemy unit by clicking on it or pressing the spacebar. Some units have special abilities that can be activated by clicking on the corresponding icons or pressing the hotkeys. For example, some units can fly, shoot, heal, or cast spells. You can also use your hero's skills, which are divided into three categories: Might, Magic, and Heroic. Might skills are related to physical combat and leadership, Magic skills are related to spellcasting and mana, and Heroic skills are related to special perks and abilities. You can access your hero's skill panel by clicking on the hero's portrait or pressing S. Here you can see the skills that your hero has learned or can learn, as well as their effects and costs. You can use a skill by clicking on it or pressing the hotkey. Some skills are passive, meaning that they are always active, while others are active, meaning that they require mana or action points to use. You can also cast spells from your hero's spellbook, which you can open by clicking on the book icon or pressing B. Here you can see the spells that your hero knows or can learn, as well as their effects and costs. You can cast a spell by clicking on it or pressing the hotkey. Some spells are offensive, meaning that they target an enemy unit or area, while others are defensive, meaning that they target an ally unit or area. You can also use items from your hero's inventory, which you can open by clicking on the backpack icon or pressing I. Here you can see the items that your hero has equipped or carried, as well as their effects and uses. You can use an item by clicking on it or pressing the hotkey. Some items are consumable, meaning that they disappear after one use, while others are reusable, meaning that they have a cooldown before they can be used again.

How to progress your hero and unlock abilities?

As you play the game, your hero will gain experience points by completing quests, exploring the map, fighting battles, and collecting artifacts. When your hero accumulates enough experience points, he or she will level up and gain skill points and ability points. You can use skill points to learn new skills or improve existing ones from your hero's skill panel. You can use ability points to unlock new abilities from your hero's ability panel, which you can open by clicking on the star icon or pressing A. Here you can see the abilities that your hero can unlock or has unlocked, as well as their effects and requirements. Abilities are divided into four tiers: Basic, Advanced, Expert, and Ultimate. Each tier has a different number of slots and requires a different amount of ability points to unlock. Abilities also have prerequisites, such as having a certain level of skill or belonging to a certain faction.
