APPROACHING A TEXT

With Simon Naylor

This weekend workshop is designed for actors at all stages

of their career. The two days will take actors through the

process of receiving your script, read-through, creating

your actors notebook, making choices and rehearsal room

etiquette. Actors will be given the chance to refresh or

update their process and either add news skills or dust off

your tool kit. Using over a decade of experience on stage,

Simon will share his methods and work with the actors to

'mine' a text for clues, find freedom in choices in the

rehearsal room, to find a confidence in following impulses

and to trust instincts in the pursuit of a truthful, detailed and

honest performance.
